34 Week Checkup

Andy and I went to our 34 week check up Friday. I have been feeling a lot of pressure down low and my pelvic bone feels so sore along with my hips being sore. It is getting hard to walk. I know I still have a little whiles to go. Well, the doctor said that she is moving down into the birth canal and getting into ready position. I gained 3 lbs this visit which is exactly what they they wanted me to gain. So I have gained a total of 15 lbs so far. My belly is measuring larger but then again, my belly was a little larger than most women. I go back in a week and 1/2 which will be my 36 week checkup. Yay 36 weeks. I get another ultrasound to see how Aislynn is positioned and an estimate on how much she weighs. Doc said that the weight isn't very accurate the it can be off about 20% but it will give him an estimation. He also is checking on her development so far. Then he is going to do a pelvic exam to check my cervix and the strep screening. After that I go every week until our little girl is here! I am so excited. Just seems so unreal that I have been carrying this little girl for 34 weeks. And I can feel her move so much more now, I guess because she is getting cramped up in there. Also, I have been having Braxton Hicks contractions for the past couple of days. They aren't terrible just some tightning and pulling towards my pelvic bone. He said that is normal and that I am just practicing for the real thing. I was joking (kinda) with the doctor about being ready and he was like, ready for the weekend, I told him no, ready to not be pregnant. He laughed and joked of course but then wanted to show me two pictures on why it is good to wait until the 40th week of pregnancy to deliver. I just thought I would share them with you.

BRAIN DEVELOPMENT

LUNG DEVELOPMENT

So, as much as I want to see her little face. I guess I can wait until she is ready. Will keep you updated after my next appointment on August 4th~
